2019 BTR Edition Edge ST (SEMA project)

For 2018 SEMA show, Ford has given us the brand new Ford Edge ST to build.
As this was their performance branded (ST) CUV, we really wanted to give off that street fighter feel. With it being a AWD and Twin Turbos, we started calling this vehicle the FAT RS internally. The color we chose definitely made the nick name stick as well since it was very close to the Focus RS blue that was available from Ford
As with any brand new vehicle, it is very tough to find off the shelf parts. And on top of all that Edge being not the most sought after tuner vehicle, it made it that much tougher for us to figure out what we could use to spice up this unique vehicle.
First thing we did was put on a custom Air Suspension to make sure we give it a proper stance when parked. It would just tuck the tires into the fenders when aired out and would air right back up to start its drive. The drivability and comfort was not compromised and the vehicle turned heads with this beautiful multi piece forged wheels from AMF forged wheels.
We used a custom Mishimoto intercooler to cool the air along with designing a custom dual intake system as none were available at the time. MRT supplied us with their exhaust system for the Edge Sport, which we had modified to work on the Edge ST as well.
Toyo Proxes STII tires help keep the vehicle planted and custom splitters from Aerotekk Design kept the Edge's downforce in check. We also added a custom Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel and Rear Seat Entertain via a mounted Tablet using the Ford Accessory parts.
Yet another icon had been born and Edge owners really took their likings to what we had done to our Edge ST. it has inspired many to do a build similar and also to branch out and do their own styling to individual vehicles.
